Xero Integration

Getting started with the Xero Integration

The Xero Integration by Gravity CX brings your customers' Xero financials into Zendesk. When an agent opens a ticket, the app matches the requester to a contact in your connected Xero organisation and shows their account at a glance — invoices, balances and overdue flags — right in the ticket sidebar. No tab-switching, no copy-pasting.

The app is read-only: it never creates, edits or deletes anything in Xero.

Before you begin

  • You need to be a Zendesk admin to install the app.
  • You need a Xero login with access to the organisation you want to connect. The connection is authorised once by an admin and shared by all agents — individual agents do not need Xero logins.

Installing the app

  1. Find the app in the Zendesk Marketplace and click Install.
  2. When prompted for the Xero connection, click Sign in with Xero and log in with a Xero user that has access to the organisation you want to connect.
  3. On the Xero consent screen, select your organisation and click Allow access. This grants the app read-only access to contacts and invoices only.
  4. Back in Zendesk, optionally restrict the app to specific roles or groups, then click Install to finish.

Verifying it works

Open any ticket in Zendesk Support. The app appears in the ticket sidebar — if the sidebar is collapsed, click the Apps button in the ticket's upper right. If the requester's email address matches a contact in Xero, their details and invoices load automatically.

Changing settings later

To review the app's settings, restrict it to certain roles or groups, or reconnect Xero, go to Admin Center > Apps and integrations > Apps > Zendesk Support apps and click the app.
