How to Reset Your Password and Regain Access to Your Account
Overview
If you can’t sign in because you forgot your password or your current password isn’t working, you can reset it in a few quick steps. This guide walks you through how to reset your password safely and what to do if you run into problems.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- Access to the email address or phone number linked to your account
- A stable internet connection

How to Reset Your Password
- Go to the sign-in page
Open the app or website and navigate to the normal login screen. - Click “Forgot password?”
Under the password field, select “Forgot password?” (or a similar link like “Can’t access your account?”). - Enter your account identifier
* Type in the email address, username, or phone number associated with your account.
* Double-check for typos before proceeding. - Choose how to receive the reset link or code
Depending on your account settings, you may see options like:Select your preferred method and continue.
* Email reset link
* SMS verification code
* Authenticator app code (if enabled) - Check your email or phone
* Look for a message with a password reset link or one-time code.
* If you don’t see it:- Check your Spam or Junk folder.
- Wait a few minutes and then refresh your inbox.
- Open the link or enter the code
* If you got a link, click it or copy and paste it into your browser.
* If you got a code, go back to the reset page and enter the code exactly as shown. - Create a new password
Choose a password that:Type your new password twice to confirm, then save or continue.
* Is unique (not used on other sites)
* Is at least 8–12 characters long
* Combines letters, numbers, and symbols if allowed - Sign in with your new password
Return to the login page and sign in using your email/username and new password.
Tips for Choosing a Strong Password
- Avoid using:
- Names, birthdays, or common words
- “123456”, “password”, or similar easy-to-guess patterns
- Consider using a password manager to securely store complex passwords.
- Don’t share your password with anyone.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
You never received the reset email or SMS
- Confirm that you entered the correct email address or phone number.
- Check Spam/Junk and Promotions folders in your email.
- Wait at least 5–10 minutes, then try sending the reset email or code again.
- Make sure your email inbox or SMS storage is not full.
The reset link has expired or doesn’t work
- Password reset links usually expire after a short time for security reasons.
- Go back to the login page and request a new password reset link.
- Open the newest reset email and only use the latest link.
The system says "account not found"
- Try other email addresses or usernames you might have used.
- Check for misspellings, extra spaces, or incorrect characters.
You reset your password but still can’t log in
- Ensure you’re using the new password (not an old one saved in your browser).
- Turn off Caps Lock and check your keyboard language/layout.
- Try logging in from a different browser or device.
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try again.
When to Contact Support

- You no longer have access to the email address or phone number on your account.
- You don’t receive a reset email or code after multiple attempts and you’ve checked spam and filters.
- You see any suspicious activity on your account or think it has been compromised.
When you reach out, include:
- The username or email you believe is linked to the account (but never your password).

- The steps you’ve already tried (e.g., requested reset email, checked spam, tried another device).
